Torres Viña Esmeralda is almost a symbol among the Spanish white wines. It was probably the first in its style, blending a major part of the traditional Muscat with a minor part of the exotic (for Spain) Gewurztraminer. Sophisticated and elegant, it is massively sold as ‘the wine for the women’, and matches very well with seafood and fishes, as well as Asian food, especially sushi. Although it contents almost 9 g/L of sugar, it feels much dyer than that due to a well balanced acidity that gives it a fresh sensation.

Vintage tasted: 2010 (September 2012)
