It seems that this wine has everything to be considered a big one. In the Empire of Garnacha (claim of the D.O. Campo de Borja), Alto Moncayo 2009 is made using 100% Garnacha grapes from old vines (40 to 65 years old), and it takes advantage of a very good vintage. This wine shows power, body and intensity, as well as complexity and richness. It will age well 10 years more at least, and it matches perfectly with steaks and any other red meat and game dishes.

Vintage tasted: 2009 (June 2012)
